Qatar Petroleum changes name to Qatar Energy
Qatar's state owned petroleum company changed its name to Qatar Energy signaling a change to incorporate a comprehensive energy sector. In an internal statement, the Minister of State for Energy HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi announces the changes, reported the Qataris newspaper The Peninsula Qatar.
In a video that appeared on Twitter, the minister said that they asked whether they change with the change of times. "Yes the result we should change our name," he said in the video, adding that they will have a new slogan which is "Your Energy Transition Partner."
