PV Hardware (PVH) was selected as the supplier of solar tracking systems for the groundbreaking Kalyon PV solar project in Viranşehir, Turkey. This landmark collaboration between GE Vernova and Kalyon PV will feature PVH’s latest AxoneDuo Infinity tracker innovations, renowned as the fastest stowing trackers in the world.

PVH has secured an impressive 95% market share in Turkey, a testament to its dominance and the superiority of its tracker solutions. This commanding market position reflects PVH’s commitment to efficiency, reliability, and advanced technology, making its trackers the preferred choice in the region. Ali Murat Soydan, Managing Director of Inojen, emphasised the importance of local support by saying, “PVH receives strong support through ‘Inojen,’ the local manufacturing partner, providing an edge over other suppliers. This ensures best-in-class service during the construction and operation of the plant, offering services like local content, domestic manufacturing, and lucrative lead times.”

Alvaro Casado Portuondo, Chief Revenue Officer of PVH Middle East, expressed his excitement, stating that, “PVH is thrilled to contribute to Kalyon PV’s visionary project in Viranşehir. Our advanced AxoneDuo Infinity tracking systems are designed to provide the highest efficiency at lower costs with pre-assembled delivery and reliability of solar power installations. We are committed to supporting Turkey’s ambitious renewable energy goals.”

The collaboration also benefits from comprehensive financing provided by GE Vernova, including support from export credit agencies. This robust financing package ensures competitive options to facilitate and scale up the adoption of renewable energy technologies. Megi Gabriyel, Region Leader of Solar & Storage Solutions for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at GE Vernova, said, “GE Vernova offers comprehensive financing for this project, which includes support from export credit agencies. This helps provide competitive financing options to facilitate and scale up the adoption of renewable energy technologies in the energy sector.”

Turkey's renewables expansion

Driven by increasing electricity demand and a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions, Turkey is rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity. The country aims to commission 10 GW of solar capacity between 2017 and 2027, with projections suggesting a substantial increase to 52.9 GW by 2035.

The Kalyon PV project in Viranşehir represents a significant step toward achieving these ambitious goals, and PVH is at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution. By delivering cutting-edge technology and unmatched service, PVH is helping to shape a sustainable future for Turkey and beyond.
