In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, a significant framework agreement has been signed to advance the assessment and development of the Tripartite Initiative aimed at transforming energy systems in the Mediterranean region.

The agreement was formalised in Tirana, Albania, at a signing ceremony attended by key representatives from the involved entities. The signatories included His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, Jasim Husain Thabet, Group CEO and Managing Director of TAQA, Erald Elezi, CEO of Korporata Elektroenergjitike Shqiptare (KESH), and Elisian Bici, CEO of OST sh.a. Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, along with TAQA, KESH, and OST, will collaborate closely to assess and implement strategies that support the Mediterranean region's energy transition. This partnership reinforces the UAE's broader vision of global sustainability and energy innovation.

The agreement marks a crucial step forward in strengthening international cooperation in renewable energy and infrastructure, reflecting the growing importance of cross-border collaboration in achieving energy security and sustainability in the Mediterranean and beyond.
