Scotland is India’s natural supply chain partner for renewable energy and low carbon projects, backed by decades of engineering experience, unique offshore energy capabilities and an unrivalled support ecosystem.

India Energy Week 2025 is an opportunity for Scottish companies to build on existing connections and forge new ones in India in areas where we have world class supply chain.

Offshore Wind: As Europe’s windiest country, Scotland takes every opportunity to harness offshore wind and develop new technologies for the energy industry. This makes Scotland a significant global player with an experienced and connected supply chain. Our companies lead the way in terms of offshore wind power, offering everything from subsea expertise to data-driven operation and maintenance. Scotland also has capabilities for onshore small scale wind turbines suitable for remote locations and microgrids.

Hydrogen: With annual output estimated to reach 126 TWh by 2045, with the right interventions, Scotland is on course to be a global leader in renewable hydrogen production.

Regional hydrogen hubs are already forming across the country, encompassing every part of the H2 supply chain. Our national ambition, combined with a supportive policy environment, has made us a hotbed for hydrogen production, which is why more than 160 companies are already active on Scottish shores.

A few Scottish companies having wind energy expertise - ABL Group, GQS, Ryse Energy and Venterra - are participating in India Energy Week 2025, joining the Scotland stand within the UK Pavilion.

OPITO, the global safety and skills authority for the energy industry and Aggreko, a global leader in providing flexible, modular and sustainable energy solutions, are also showcasing their capabilities along with others.
